Legwarmers

Hi Friends,
Looking for a Winter Project???

 2nd Annual Legwarmer Drive
Because of your generous donations last year,
I am again collecting Leg Warmers to be donated to a Childrens Hospital.
Last year we collected over 250 pairs of Leg Warmers.
These were given to Doernbecher Childrens Hospital in Portland OR.
They are used for leg coverings & are perfect because the childs feet are left
free for any needles or monitors. They also used them to cover IV’s on arms.
The hospital nurses loved them & gave them to the children to put a bit of cheer in the dreary Hospital rooms.
Why Leg Warmers?

This is from my daughter, Tiffany's, blog......
My precious 2 year old, Ollie, fought the last hours of his too short life in a hospital.
I did not like the fact that it was so cold & sterile & he had nothing on but his diaper under the blanket. Even though this is a small thing, it may help comfort someone.
We will donate them on June 21st, 2014 in honor of Ollie’s Birthday.
If you would like to help, here are some ways:
~You can knit or crochet a pair of legwarmers.
~You can sew a pair from long knee socks.
~You can donate the long knee socks & we’ll sew them.
~You can donate $ & we will buy them.
~Please share this on your social media & with family & friends.
These will be donated to a hospital in Utah this year.
Please have them to me anytime from now to June 14th, 2014.
Ship to: Tiffany Hebb
